Privacy Policy
Last updated 27 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information PlantDraft (ABN pending) collects when you visit plantdraft.com, buy or use our software, or contact us, and what we do with it. Contact: support@plantdraft.com.
What we collect
- When you buy. Paddle.com processes your order as our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details; we never see or store card numbers. Paddle shares with us your name, email address, company name, country and order details so we can issue and support your licence.
- When you activate the software. The licence check sends your licence key, the name of your computer, your Windows user name, a one-way fingerprint derived from your computer's ID and user name, the software version, and the time of activation or check. The licence server also sees your IP address.
- When you contact us. The content of your emails and any files you choose to send, for example an export you want us to look at.
- When you visit the website. Our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. The site sets no tracking cookies and uses no advertising or analytics scripts. The checkout is provided by Paddle and is covered by Paddle's privacy notice.
What we do not collect
The software reconstructs your models on your own computer. Model geometry, drawings and project properties are not sent to PlantDraft or anyone else.
How we use it
To issue, activate and verify licences, to prevent licence misuse, to send receipts, renewal notices and important product notices, to answer support requests, and to meet our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the business: Paddle (orders, payments, tax and invoices), our licence server provider, our email provider and our website host. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We only use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles. We will also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order and licence records are kept while your licence is active and for up to 7 years afterwards for tax and accounting purposes. Support emails are kept for up to 2 years. Server logs are kept for no more than 90 days.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep, by emailing us. You can unsubscribe from product emails at any time; receipts and licence notices are sent regardless. If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and change the date at the top.
